Dockweiler Beach is just north of El Segundo, and has over three miles of shoreline, a picnic area, and concession stand. It’s also directly under the flight path of many of the planes flying in and out of LAX. So it’s a great place to lay back, relax, and watch the world go by.
Playa Del Rey Beach is just north of LAX. The locals call the north end of Playa Del Rey “Toes Beach,” because the surfing is so excellent you hang 10 toes on your board.
A global tourist destination, Venice Beach is famous for its boardwalk as well as the 1,310 foot fishing pier. The basketball courts are also a great place to join in a game of “streetball.” Maybe you’ll get recruited by the Lakers.
An iconic California beach, Santa Monica Beach features soft sands, world class surfing, and the famous Santa Monica Pier with an amusement park, aquarium, and restaurants. With over 3.5 miles of things to do and see, it’s a vacation in and of itself.
